State Councilor and Minister of Public Security Zhao Kezhi stressed on Oct 11 at a meeting for the major campaign against gang crime that all related measures to combat gang crime must be well-implemented.
Zhao said that severe measures against gangs and organized crime must be kept, and more efforts should be focused on major gang-related cases. The finances supporting gang crime should be cut and cases must be handled in accordance with the law, said Zhao.
Zhao called for reviewing the experience gained from security work during the celebrations of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.
He also stressed more efforts on public security work before the 2020 Spring Festival, including in safeguarding the country’s political safety, anti-terrorism, and training of security personnel, among others.
