State Councilor and Minister of Public Security Zhao Kezhi had a phone conversation on Oct 19 with Croatian Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Davor Bozinovic.

Zhao said President Xi Jinping attached great importance to the development of the China-Croatia relationship, calling for more cooperation during the COVID-19 epidemic.

The two countries should implement the major consensus, enhance high-level interactions between leaders, and improve mutual understanding and trust, Zhao said.

He also called for joint efforts to improve the cooperation mechanism in law enforcement, fight against fraud through telecom and the internet, and other transnational crimes, build up law enforcement, work for the security of major cooperation projects and related personnel, amid constant development of mutual relations.

Bozinovic said that Croatia understands and supports China’s positions, and is willing to conduct further cooperation with China in law enforcement and security.
