State Councilor and Minister of Public Security Zhao Kezhi called on China’s police force to put greater efforts into fulfilling their missions and tasks in the new era at a national teleconference Aug 26 on studying and implementing President Xi Jinping’s instructions to the police force.

Public security officers should work to safeguard national political security and social stability under guidance of the instructions, Zhao said.

With a people-centered philosophy, law enforcement should strictly follow set procedures and fairness, Zhao said, calling for building a strong police team.

Zhao also stressed solid actions to maintain security and stability in the last four months of the year.
