BEIJING — The State Council, China’s cabinet, announced the appointment and removal of several officials on Feb 22.

Zhang Hanhui was appointed vice-foreign minister, and Liu Xianfa was appointed assistant foreign minister.

Li Huilai was removed from the post of assistant foreign minister, and Gu Zhaoxi no longer serves as vice-minister of civil affairs.
