BEIJING — Beijing municipal development and reform commission on June 3 released a list of major tasks to be completed within the year to push forward Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei coordinated development.

The agenda for 2019 included a total of 90 detailed tasks, said Zhou Hao, a division head of the commission.

Among the 90 tasks, 14 aim to relieve non-capital functions, 19 are related to construction in Xiongan New Area and Beijing’s subcenter in Tongzhou district, and 36 will promote breakthroughs in key sectors such as ecology, transportation, industry and public service.

Zhou said 31 tasks were related to Tianjin and 50 involve cooperation from Hebei.

According to the plan, Beijing will phase out 309 general manufacturing companies, as well as relocate or upgrade 50 markets and 16 logistics centers in 2019.

In the meantime, about 467 hectares of urban greenbelt will be added in Tongzhou, while construction of a theater, library and museum will also begin in the subcenter.

Beijing-Xiongan expressway will begin construction, and an inter-city railway will be finished and put into use within the year.
