China successfully sent its first cargo spacecraft Tianzhou-1 to space. The Tianzhou-1 lifted off aboard a Long March-7 Y2 carrier rocket from the Wenchang Space Launch Center in south China’s Hainan province on the evening of April 20. The cargo ship will dock with and refuel the orbiting Tiangong-2 space lab. Over the next five months, the cargo ship is expected to rendezvous three times with Tiangong-2.
