Premier Li Keqiang departed Beijing for Switzerland on Jan 20 to attend the World Economic Forum in Davos.
Li will deliver a special speech to the forum which will attract record attendance of more than 2,500 politicians, entrepreneurs and business leaders.
This is the Premier’s second visit to the forum, held annually in the Alpine town. He first attended in 2010 as a vice-premier.
Li’s delegation includes Foreign Minister Wang Yi, Xu Shaoshi, chairman of the National Development and Reform Commission, Commerce Minister Gao Hucheng and Zhou Xiaochuan, the central bank governor.
Ren Zhengfei, founder and president of telecom solutions provider Huaiwei and Jack Ma, founder of e-commerce giant Alibaba, are also in the delegation as are economists Justin Yifu Lin and Li Daokui.
