Premier Li Keqiang spent 31 days last year on 13 inspection tours covering 12 provincial areas of the country.

In July the Premier visited an exhibition of Hunan University students’ business startups in the province. He spent 100 yuan buying four products.

“You (students) are the practitioners of starting business and I would like to be your customer,” the Premier told the students.

One of the students, Wei Xiaoyu, said he was encouraged by the Premier’s words and visit and his business reached a turning point after Li bought some of his products.

The State Council’s policies since last year in favor of student entrepreneurs further support Wei’s efforts to enlarge his business.

Wei’s company already has four employees and 18 part-time workers, and is seeking wider prospects.
