Premier Li Keqiang left Beijing on May 17 to start his official visit to Brazil, Colombia, Peru and Chile, with stopovers in Ireland and Spain.

The visit is to promote China-Latin America cooperation in economy and trade, especially in production capacity. The Premier will also attend several events on cultural exchanges to enhance mutual understanding of the two sides.

This is Premier Li’s first visit to Latin America since he took office.
