Premier Li Keqiang met with French President Francois Hollande on June 30 in Paris.

Premier Li said China is willing to strengthen coordination and cooperation with France in fields relating to world peace, safety and development.

Li said that the two nations should work together to explore new third-party markets and contribute to the world economic recovery.

He proposed to deepen and strengthen the two nation’s cooperation in traditional areas like nuclear and aerospace, implementing all industry chain collaboration and in-depth industrial cooperation while increasing the proportion of value-added and high-tech sector cooperation.

Li also recommended new opportunities for cooperation in finance, digitization, sustainable development, tourism and agricultural food production.

He said China appreciate France’s contribution to deal with climate change as the host for the UN Climate Change Conference in Paris in 2015. China is willing to cooperate with France and push forward the conference to achieve positive results.

Hollande welcomed Li’s visit. He said the two nations’ comprehensive strategic partnership has entered a new chapter, bringing many benefits to the people of China and France.

He said France highly appreciate China’s announcement of independent contribution to tackle the climate change, saying it will be an important opportunity for the global community to deal with the climate change and achieve sustainable economic growth.

Hollande added that China’s proposition of three-party cooperation is a positive idea that will benefit all parties. He said France and China’s coordination and cooperation in key international and regional issues will contribute to world peace and stability.

The two sides also agreed to establish a China-France mutual fund to provide financing support for joint industrial investments as they cooperate to explore the third-party market.
