There is a huge gap between China and developed countries regarding GDP per capita, urban and rural development and social welfare, though China has become the second-largest economy in the world, said Premier Li Keqiang in an answer to whether China can be called a developed country at the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development.

Even though China is still the largest developing country in the world, there is still a long way for us to achieve modernization, Li added.
