Premier Li Keqiang met with Algerian National Assembly speaker Abdul Qadir bin Saleh, who attended the V-Day commemorations, in the Great Hall of the People on Sept 4.

The Premier praised the traditional friendship and mutual political trust between China and Algeria.

China is willing to enhance cooperation with Algeria in various fields and promote production capacity cooperation on the basis of pragmatic cooperation in infrastructure, nuclear energy, aerospace, the Premier said.

China is also ready to increase communication and coordination with Algeria in important international and regional affairs, the Premier said, as well as jointly safeguard regional and world peace and stability and promote mutual development and prosperity.

The Algerian National Assembly speaker said China is a trustworthy partner who has helped his country’s development.

Algeria values its ties with China, he said, and hopes to promote friendly bilateral exchanges and cooperation in all fields.
