Premier Li Keqiang said the Maker Institute CAS, jointly established by the municipal government of Shenzhen and the Chinese Academy of Sciences, is a “university without walls”.

He made the remark at a Maker Institute CAS project display during the National Mass Entrepreneurship and Innovation Week in Beijing on Oct 19.

Li noted that he hopes the Maker Institute will continue to grow and create more opportunities for entrepreneurs and innovators.

The Maker Institute CAS is an open technology platform that incubates products of makers’ projects and offers technology information and tutors to entrepreneurs.
