Premier Li Keqiang on Nov 2 urged young people from both China and the ROK to build a better future for China-ROK cooperation through innovation and entrepreneurship.

He made the remarks when attending the China-ROK Young Leaders Forum with the ROK’s Prime Minister Hwang Kyo-ahn in Seoul.

The Premier said youth communication plays an important part in China-ROK people-to-people exchanges. “I felt that the China-ROK friendship is deeply rooted in young people’s hearts and the friendly relations between the two countries have great potential,” said Premier Li.

He expected that the forum will provide a platform for young people from China and the ROK to conduct innovative cooperation. He also hoped that young people from both countries will deepen their friendship and contribute more to cooperation between the countries.

Hwang said that China-ROK Young Leaders Forum conformed to the innovation and development strategies of the two countries. He expected that Chinese and ROK’s young people will enhance mutual understanding and inject new vitality into the development of bilateral relations.

China and the ROK agreed to hold the Young Leaders Forum on a regular basis. 100 young people will exchange visits every year for the next five years, starting in 2015.
