Premier Li Keqiang in an important instruction called for strict action against the recent rise in campus violence.
The Premier said campuses should be the safest place, adding that the violence not only impacts physical and mental health of students, but also harms social morals.
The Ministry of Education should work with related departments to take multi-pronged measures with a focus on improving rules and regulations and strengthening legal awareness of students to curb any behavior that disregards human dignity and life, the instruction said.
