Premier Li Keqiang met with Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic in Riga, Latvia’s capital on the morning of Nov 5.
During the meeting, Premier Li spoke highly of the growth of momentum in China-Serbia relations and in a comprehensive strategic partnership that was achieved after President Xi Jinping’s visit in 2016.
China is willing to support Serbia to safeguard its sovereignty and independence, the Premier said.
He also called for further pragmatic cooperation, in fields such as highway construction and the construction of the Hungary-Serbia railway to benefit the two peoples.
Vucic said Serbia appreciated that China attached great importance to China-Serbia relations. He added that great results have been achieved from bilateral cooperation in fields such as infrastructure and resources and said Serbia is willing to further deepen cooperation between the two countries.
