Premier Li Keqiang gave a written instruction regarding the construction of the No 5 unit of Fuqing Nuclear Power Plant.

Premier Li said in the instruction that Hualong One technology, a domestically developed third-generation reactor design, is a landmark project in promoting “Made in China 2015.”

It is of great importance for the No 5 unit of Fuqing Nuclear Power Plant, the first pilot nuclear power project using Hualong One technology, to successfully install the containment dome, according to the instruction.

“I would like to extend my sincere greetings to all the designers and construction crews. Also, the absolute security of nuclear construction and operation management should be ensured,” the Premier said in the instruction.

The Premier also said he wishes to continue to carry forward the craftsmanship spirit of striving for the best, and strengthen management, in a bid to complete the project on schedule while ensuring the project’s quality and security.

Innovative resources should be used via the platform of “Internet Plus” and mass entrepreneurship and innovation to enhance research and manufacturing quality of China’s nuclear power, said the Premier.

He also urged taking part in the world market and creating a world-class nuclear power brand in order to contribute to the upgrading of China’s manufacturing industry.
