Premier Li Keqiang on June 26 met with World Economic Forum (WEF) Executive Chairman Klaus Schwab and other representatives who came to China to attend this year’s Summer Davos Forum in Northeast China’s Dalian.

The Premier gave positive evaluations on WEF’s cooperation with China, saying this year’s theme, “Achieving Inclusive Growth in the Fourth Industrial Revolution”, has practical significance.

Focused on supply-side structural reform, the Chinese government is grasping the opportunities of the new round of industrial and technological revolution, implementing administrative reform, spurring market vigor and social creativity through mass entrepreneurship and innovation, and promoting employment and economic upgrades to create new engines for China’s economic development, the Premier said.

He said that for the global economy to recover, all countries should face challenges, strengthen coordination of macro policies, promote free trade and investment, and build up a fairer and more open international economic system.

China will continue to carry out the new round of high-level opening-up, create a fair business environment for domestic and foreign investment to help achieve win-win and common development, according to the Premier.

Schwab spoke highly of China’s government policies, saying the WEF is willing to strengthen cooperation with China, sending signals for steady development and cooperation to make contributions to promote the strong, sustainable and balanced recovery of the global economy.

State Councilor Yang Jing also attended the meeting.
