Premier Li Keqiang sent a letter of congratulations to the Fifth Sino-Germany Innovation Conference on Feb 27.
Currently, a new round of scientific and technological reform and industrial revolution is taking place all over the world; science and technology innovation is changing the manufacturing pattern and lifestyle of all human beings, Premier Li wrote in the letter. The cooperation between China and Germany in this field sets a precedent and can serve as a high-power engine for bilateral practical cooperation, he wrote.
Premier Li pointed out that China’s economic development is in a key phase of driving power transformations and structure upgrading. China will continue to implement new development concepts and innovation-driven development strategy, promoting mass entrepreneurship and innovation.
The Premier expressed the hope that China and Germany gather the wisdom of their people, gain more mutual understanding, and deepen communication and cooperation in scientific and technological innovation. Thus, the development of economy and society in both countries can be promoted, and new power will be brought into the global economy.
The Fifth Sino-Germany Innovation Conference is being held in Beijing on Feb 27. The conference also marks the 40-year anniversary of the signing of a China-Germany governmental science and technology cooperation agreement. Over 300 delegates from the two countries will attend the conference.
