Premier Li Keqiang was told that a poor village he visited in 2016 has been relocated to a new settlement.
The update came during a group discussion among deputies from Northwest China’s Ningxia Hui autonomous region at the first session of the 13th National People’s Congress on March 10.
The 1,324 residents from 324 families in the village have moved to new homes in a suburb of Yinchuan with sufficient supporting facilities, such as a kindergarten, gas and water supply. Their lives have been remarkably improved.
The Premier said he will visit them again if time permits and sent his best wishes that their new lives are blissful.
