Premier Li Keqiang urged related departments and local governments to create more jobs for college graduates as he sent an instruction to a teleconference on that issue on May 24.
It is tougher this year to create jobs, as the number of college graduates reached a new high of 8.2 million, according to the instruction.
He said more high-quality jobs featuring management, technology and intelligence should be created through administrative reform, improving the business environment, fostering new industries, and promoting innovation and entrepreneurship.
Vice-Premiers Sun Chunlan and Hu Chunhua addressed the conference.
