BEIJING — Premier Li Keqiang will attend the 12th Summer Davos Forum in Tianjin from Sept 19 to 20, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Geng Shuang announced on Sept 12 at a daily press briefing.
Premier Li will address the opening ceremony of the forum, hold talks with leaders from countries including Estonia, Latvia, Serbia and Samoa and exchange views with representatives from communities such as industry and commerce, finance, think tanks and media outlets, Geng said.
This year’s forum will feature a theme of “Shaping Innovative Societies in the Fourth Industrial Revolution.” More than 2,000 politicians, businesspeople, scholars and media representatives from about 90 countries are expected to attend.
Established by the World Economic Forum in 2007, the Summer Davos Forum is held annually in China, alternate between two port cities of Tianjin and Dalian.
