The fourth high-level conference on tourism cooperation between China and Central and Eastern European (CEE) countries is being held in Dubrovnik, Croatia on Sept 19. Premier Li Keqiang sent his congratulations to its opening ceremony.

Tourism is one of the fastest-growing industries in the world. With abundant tourism resources, the cooperation between China and CEE countries has a huge potential in this regard, Premier Li said in the congratulatory letter.

He expressed his hope the two sides will seize opportunities at the conference to expand tourism cooperation, and promote people-to-people exchanges and mutual understanding.

Premier Li pointed out that during the six years since the China-CEEC cooperation began, every side has been enthusiastic about the cooperation. The mechanism is becoming mature, and cooperation in various fields is deepening. As an influential cross-regional cooperation mechanism, it will promote a more comprehensive and in-depth development of China-EU relations, the Premier said.

China will work with CEE countries to continue to promote practical cooperation in various fields, and ensure the “16+1 cooperation” benefits more people in these countries, he said.
