Premier Li Keqiang met with Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko in Davos, Switzerland on the afternoon of Jan 21.

Supporting Ukraine in finding a development path which suits its own conditions, the Premier said China respects the sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine and stands for a political settlement of the current crisis.

Illustrating the importance that Ukraine places on its relationship with China, President Poroshenko said he hopes to further enhance cooperation with China and wants China to play an active and constructive role in solving the Ukraine crisis.
