Premier Li Keqiang and Peru President Ollanta Humala held a press conference together after they had a two-hour meeting. Li said that there is great potential for China and Peru to cooperate with each other, and the construction of a transoceanic railroad will further enhance trade and people-to-people exchanges between China and Latin America. However, he added that the construction of the railroad should also take the environment into consideration. The Peruvian president said that the railroad will help the coordinated development of the local economy and trade.
