The government should further cut its administrative approval powers, so that scientific researchers do not have to spend too much time filing reports and applications as required by complicated regulations, the Premier said at a conference on national strategies to develop science and technology on July 27.

The government should allow enough freedom and independence for researchers, said the Premier.

He also urged researchers to develop original innovations in important areas and transform their innovations and findings into something that boosts the economy.
