China is willing to deepen political mutual trust and expand pragmatic cooperation with Morocco, Premier Li Keqiang said during a meeting with King Mohammed VI of Morocco in Beijing on May 12.

China-Morocco cooperation is quite complementary and has a bright future, said the Premier.

China has rich experiences in infrastructure construction and advantageous production capacity in areas such as building materials and equipment manufacturing, said Premier Li.

The Premier said China encourages Chinese enterprises to participate in the infrastructure construction and industrialization process of Morocco.

China will help increase Morocco’s self-development ability through expanding production capacity cooperation in industrial parks, high-speed railways and renewable energy, transferring technology and training technical and management personnel, said the Premier.

He expressed his hope that the two sides, on the basis of the all-round cooperation, focus on cooperation on several exemplary and significant projects targeting the African market.

Hailing the king’s decision to waive visas for Chinese citizens from June 1, the Premier said China is willing to facilitate people-to-people and cultural exchanges with Morocco.

King Mohammed VI praised China’s development achievements and effective measures in tackling climate change and developing renewable energy.

He also lauded China’s African policy and its idea of non-interference in internal affairs of another country and solving problems through peaceful means.

Morocco is willing to enhance pragmatic cooperation with China in infrastructure construction, high-speed railway and green industry and expand people-to-people and cultural exchanges, said King Mohammed VI.
