Premier Li Keqiang made an official visit to Mongolia from July 13-16, attending the 11th Asia and Europe Summit in its capital city, Ulaanbaatar.

During his first visit to the important neighboring country, Premier Li met with the Mongolian president, prime minister and State Great Hural, witnessing with the Mongolian PM the signing of 15 bilateral agreements covering trade, economy, technology, infrastructure and radio and television.

At the Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM), which is in its 20th year, Premier Li brought forth three proposals and put forward a “Chinese plan” outlining a new vision for Asia-Europe cooperation over the next decade.

The Premier also arranged more than ten bilateral meetings in his full schedule, created “corridor diplomacy,” “platform diplomacy” and “banquet diplomacy,” exchanged views with other state leaders and won support over the South China Sea issue from those Asian and European countries. Both the Ulaanbaatar Declaration and the chair’s statement passed at the summit did not mention the South China Sea issue.

The Premier maintained a high pace of work for four days and achieved not only fruitful achievements on economy and trade but also brought us 20 moments when he worked for the country’s benefits.
