A roundtable discussion was held by Premier Li Keqiang and six international financial chiefs in Beijing on July 22.

The finance leaders are: World Bank Group President Jim Yong Kim, International Monetary Fund Managing Director Christine Lagarde, World Trade Organization Director General Roberto Azevedo, International Labor Organization Director General Guy Ryder, Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development Secretary-General Angel Gurria, and Financial Stability Board Chairman Mark Carney.

The discussion covered two topics: the situation and challenges of the global economy and the new growth impetus of the transforming Chinese economy. The leaders reached consensus that all stakeholders need to facilitate structural reform, stabilize the financial market and economic expectation, and promote strong, sustainable and balanced growth of the Chinese and global economy.
