One sandwich and a cup of coffee – this was the simple lunch Premier Li Keqiang had on Sept 8.
The Premier barely had time for lunch, as his agenda was filled with bilateral meetings during the East Asia Summit.
One bilateral meeting just wrapped up at one o’clock, but the Premier was immediately on his way to the “10+8” East Asia Summit leaders’ meeting.
East Asia Summit is an annual meeting of leaders from ASEAN member states and China, Japan, Republic of Korea, India, New Zealand, and Australia. In September 2011, the summit membership expanded from 16 to 18 countries, with the United States and Russia joining the group.
