Premier Li Keqiang visited poverty-hit families in remote mountainous area in southwest China’s Yunnan province, and brought Chinese New Year gifts for the villagers, on Jan 23.

It took the Premier one and a half hours to reach the village via rough mountain terrain.

Most people in the village live in shanties with livestock. Normally few people visit the village.
