Premier Li Keqiang stressed the supporting role of talent training and professional education in revitalizing Northeast China, during a visit to a private college in Dalian, Liaoning province.
Dalian Neusoft University of Information is the country’s first and largest private college for IT talent. Its graduate employment rate reached 92 percent or above for four consecutive years. And both the monthly income and rate of starting businesses by graduates from the college were higher than universities in Project 211, the national higher education promotion program for the top 100 universities in China.
The Premier encouraged the college to set up more divisions in the northeast region. He said talent training and education are fundamental to Northeast China in achieving transformation in the industrial and technical revolution. The Premier called for training and retaining more talent to provide support for the revitalization of Liaoning province and the entire Northeast China.
