Phase IV of Shanghai Yangshan Deep Water Port, the world’s biggest automated container terminal, which is in operation for 24 hours, has forged ahead with the facilitation of China’s free trade and investment, Premier Li Keqiang said after a video conference on April 10 with local staff members working on the project.

Premier Li added that with a total annual handling capacity of over 40 million TEUs (20-foot equivalent unit), the Chinese economy will be integrated into the global economy at a faster pace.

And he hoped Shanghai will advance opening-up through enhanced service support for port building to establish better international connectivity.
