China should advocates the spirit of hard work and create new motivation mechanisms to inspire people’s inner drive for work, Premier Li Keqiang said at the 17th National Congress of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions (ACFTU) in Beijing on Oct 24.

No pain, no gain, the Premier said at the congress, adding that only work can create fortune.

Hard work should not only be honored by acknowledgment, but by compensation, the Premier stressed. The economy could overcome any obstacle as long as the initiative and creativity of millions of workers are stirred up.
