Premier Li Keqiang laid a wreath at Russia’s cemetery of anonymous martyrs on Oct 13.
The cemetery outside the Kremlin Palace honours those sacrificed during the Second World War. Premier Li said the history of China and Russia’s united fight against fascist invasion will not be forgotten by the Chinese people.
He said China will join Russia in organizing activities marking the seventieth anniversary of the Victory of the Second World War. He stressed that China and Russia will work together to defend the achievements of the War and the post-War world order.
Premier Li also met with the Chairman of the Russian State Duma, Sergey Naryshkin, on Oct 13. Premier Li said the comprehensive strategic partnership lies not only in political mutual trust but also economic and cultural cooperation. He said China is willing to broaden and deepen that partnership.
Naryshkin underlined the mutual support of the two counties on major issues regarding national sovereighty and territorial integrity.
