Premier Li meets world leaders during Asia-Europe Meeting

Political leaders and heads of state from Europe and Asia have gathered for the 10th summit of the Asia-Europe Meeting. Premier Li Keqiang is there representing China and he’s already met a number of world leaders for face-to-face talks, on the sidelines of the summit.

In a meeting with Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung, Premier Li discussed with him on recent maritime disputes, which involved some tense encounters in the South China Sea, and violent protests in Vietnam.The two agreed that both countries will work towards settling the disputes, and boosting overall cooperation, which will also cover maritime areas.

Premier Li also met Greek Prime Minister Antonis Samaras they agreed that both nations should work together to boost infrastructure, shipping and finance cooperation.

And Li Keqiang also met with the Thai Prime Minister, Prayuth Chan-ocha. Li said the two nations should maintain high-level cooperation, and boost work in areas such as high-speed rail, agriculture, trade and finance. The Thai Prime Minister called for bilateral ties with China to be moved forward.
