Premier Li pledges to strengthen cooperation with India

In Myanmar’s capital Nay Pyi Taw, Premier Li Keqiang has said China will work with India to comprehensively upgrade their pragmatic cooperation.

Li made the pledge during a meeting with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said China is willing to work with India to keep good-neighborly cooperation of mutual benefit as the main theme of their relations. Li called President Xi Jinping’s visit to India in September a success, saying it ushered in new progress in the relationship.

The Premier invited Modi to visit China early next year. Modi agreed strengthened cooperation benefits not just the two countries, but the region and the world as well. Modi said he hopes to visit China soon and discuss with the Chinese side on how to further advance the bilateral ties.
