China will attract more social capital into the construction of water conservancy projects. That’s according to Chinese premier Li Keqiang, when he chaired a symposium during a visit to China’s Ministry of Water Resources on Monday.

During the meeting, he said that China will speed up the construction of 172 water conservancy projects in the country, especially in the western areas. Li said that the government will allow more PRIVATE money into these projects by using innovative mechanisms, like the Public Private Partnership system.
