China, Peru to advance ties

China and Peru have agreed on a cooperation plan based on existing free trade arrangements, to advance their partnership in industrial production and equipment manufacturing.

Premier Li Keqiang announced this during his visit to Peru. Li and Peruvian President Ollanta Humala said on May 22 that they have also agreed on a memorandum to begin studies for a railway linking Brazil’s Atlantic coast with a Pacific port in Peru.
