Premier Li Keqiang attended a symposium on the country’s economy on July 10, where he had a chance to speak with experts and business leaders from many different industries.

Many at the meeting believed there were some positive signs of economic momentum over the first half of the year, and that the “mass innovation and entrepreneurship” policy has activated millions of market entities. But they also feel there are important problems that need to be addressed, with many businesses still having major difficulties staying on their feet.

However, Premier Li stressed that the dynamic of the Chinese economy hasn’t changed, and there’re still great resiliance and potential. He also called for more precise macro-economic management, structural reform, and further government stream-lining.

Li stressed that the key in Chinese economy’s upgrading and development lies in reform and innovation. He calls for support for especially small-and-micro-sized innovation businesses.
