Premier Li Keqiang has arrived in the Malaysian capital, Kuala Lumpur to attend a series of ASEAN-related meetings. It’s hoped his efforts will help explore new ways for improving relations.
From Nov 20 to Nov 23, Premier Li will attend the 18th Leaders’ Meeting of ASEAN and China, the 18th Leaders’ Meeting of ASEAN, China, Japan and South Korea, and the 10th East Asia Summit. He will also pay an official visit to Malaysia.
The Chinese Foreign Ministry said that during the meetings, the premier will push for building a more integrated China-ASEAN community of common destiny, and discuss the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road. Additionally, China will work to speed up negotiations on the ASEAN-backed Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership.
