Premier Li Keqiang has arrived in Ulan Bator, the capital of Mongolia, for an official visit. He is also set to attend the 11th Asia-Europe Meeting. This is his first trip to Mongolia since he took office as the Premier in 2013, and the first official visit by a Chinese Premier to the country in six years.
Premier Li will hold talks with Mongolia’s new prime minister. And will also meet with its President and Chairman of the State Great Hural, Mongolia’s parliament. A series of cooperation deals covering trade, infrastructure, finance and energy, as well as climate change and media exchanges, will be signed during the two-day visit.
This year marks the 20th anniversary since ASEM was launched in Bangkok, Thailand in 1996. He is also expected to hold bilateral meetings with leaders of some ASEM members.
