State councilor meets with Cambodian navy commander

State Councilor and Defense Minister Chang Wanquan met with Tea Vinh, commander of the Royal Cambodian Navy, in Beijing on Aug 31.

Chang said that China and Cambodia have always been good neighbors and true friends. China, along with Cambodia, will fully implement the consensus reached by President Xi Jinping and Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen, to promote the bilateral strategic partnership. Chang expressed the hope that the two countries’ armies, and the two navies, can further enhance friendly contact and practical cooperation to consolidate and develop bilateral relations.

Tea Vinh said that Cambodia appreciated China’s long-term assistance. The Cambodian navy is willing to strengthen communication and cooperation to promote relations between the two countries and their armies, he said.
