BEIJING — State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi held separate talks with his Tajik, Uzbek, and Kazakh counterparts in Beijing on April 24.
During his meeting with Tajik Foreign Minister Sirojidin Aslov, Wang said China hopes to work with Tajikistan to facilitate cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative and build a community with a shared future for humanity.
Aslov said Tajikistan hopes to dovetail its development strategy with the Belt and Road Initiative and to facilitate cooperation with China in various fields.
During his meeting with Uzbek Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov, Wang said China is ready to work with Uzbekistan to strengthen strategic dovetailing and interconnectivity of their development strategies, and explore cultural and local cooperation. Both sides agreed to create new highlights while cooperating under the framework of Belt and Road Initiative.
During Wang’s meeting with Kazakh Foreign Minister Kairat Abdrakhmanov, both sides agreed to enhance cooperation in trade, capacity, finance, energy, and infrastructure, and make joint efforts to promote Belt and Road cooperation.
