Public security minister promises safe social environment for 70th anniversary

State Councilor and Public Security Minister Zhao Kezhi promised to maintain political security and social stability during the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, on Jan 17 in Beijing.

Joint efforts will be made to safeguard political security, eliminate risks, crack down on crime, strengthen public security governance, and maintain overall social control, to create a safe and stable political and social environment for the 70th anniversary of China, Zhao said.

He also urged strengthening police forces through reforms and apply big data on public security, to promote operational mechanism reform of law enforcement and the reform of streamlining administration, combining power delegation with enhanced supervision, and optimizing government services in the public security sector.
