BEIJING — State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi will pay an official visit to Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Georgia and Armenia from May 20 to 27, a Foreign Ministry spokesperson announced at a press briefing on May 17.

Wang is visiting at the invitation of Tajikistan’s FM Mukhriddin, Kyrgyzstan’s FM Aidarbekov, Azerbaijan’s FM Mammadyarov, Georgia’s FM Zalkaliani and Armenia’s FM Mnatsakanyan. He will also attend the meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Council of Foreign Ministers to be held in Kyrgyzstan, according to spokesperson Lu Kang.
