State Councilor Wang Yong on Dec 29 called for increasing standardized reform and implementing a standardized strategy to boost economic and social development.

At a joint inter-ministerial meeting of the State Council, Wang urged accelerating the integration and streamlining of mandatory standards, and revising recommended standards.

In addition, Wang suggested invigorating the standards of enterprises, and improving public service platforms for information on enterprise standards.

The state councilor also stressed formulating guidelines on standardized strategy, implementing projects with upgraded standards, and cutting excessive industrial capacity. He then called for more efforts to formulate international standards to facilitate the “Belt and Road” strategy and international capacity cooperation.
