State Councilor Guo Shengkun, who is also the minister of public security, stressed the importance of inheriting the revolution traditions and fulfilling the duty of public security during a visit to East China’s Fujian province on Aug 30.

He visited the historical site of the Ninth Party Congress and local police stations, and urged public security organs to firmly perform their duties under the lead of the central government.

Guo also asked them to implement strict management, strengthen supervision, and maintain national security and social stability, to create a safe and peaceful environment for the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China.
