State Councilor and Minister of Public Security Zhao Kezhi urged for increased efforts building SWAT teams and improving their emergency response capabilities.

During an inspection to a drill of China’s SWAT teams in Jinan, capital of East China’s Shandong province on Jan 19, Zhao called for the SWAT teams to safeguard national security and social stability, and be well-prepared for the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China.

SWAT teams should strengthen leadership of the Party, enhance practical training and improve emergency response abilities, he added.
