Vice-premier meets Tunisian prime minister

BEIJING — Vice-Premier Han Zheng on Sept 5 met with Tunisian Prime Minister Youssef Chahed after the 2018 Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation.

Han said the China-Tunisia relationship has maintained healthy and stable development under the care and guidance of the two heads of state in recent years.

China is willing to work with Tunisia to implement the outcomes of the summit, upgrade bilateral cooperation and bring benefits to the two countries and their peoples, Han said.

Noting that the eight major initiatives proposed by President Xi Jinping have provided great opportunities to Tunisia and the whole Africa, Chahed said Tunisia is willing to work with China to push forward Tunisia-China and Africa-China cooperation to achieve positive results.
